5-28-2011 Colton played in the Rutherford County Open with disappointing results.

5-1-2011 Colton placed 174 of 284 in the 2011 National High School Championship.

1-16-2011 Colton placed 4th in his division in the Tennessee Winter Open. A very good result.

12-16-2010 Colton took 1st place in the 8th grade U1000 division.  This is his first trophy from a National tournament.  His rating went up to 1066  his highest so far!

9-4-2010 COLTON played in the first rated Clarksville Chess Club tournament. He tied for second, picking up 83 rating points. He broke 1000!! Nice chart of results!

04-17-2010 COLTON started the 2010 National High School Championship (under 1200 section) with a BANG BANG. He was out gunned the entire tournament and walked out with a whooping 99 point rating gain. His opponents out rated him as follows +250, +293, +154, +200, + 196, +310, +293. By any standard, he was in line to lose every game, but he won three out of seven. Very Nice for such opposition. His rating went to 987.

12-07-2009 Colton participated in the MEIGS Scholastic this weekend. He  won two and lost three. Losing only 13 rating points. That score was still good enough for a tie for 20th place out of 36 players (Jr. High division).

04-03-2009 The SUPERNATIONALS are over Colton scored 3 wins with 4 losses. This was an incredible success. His opponents were an average of 255 points higher rated that he, yet he scored 3 wins. A great result. He gained a whopping 121 rating points... unbelievable!  Taking his rating to 897, again, an all time high!

03-21-2009 Colton place clear 2nd at the 2009 Tri-State Spring Chess open, scoring 4 wins 1 loss. His rating jumped from 758 to 776, and he won $50.00 award. Great job!

01-24-2009 Colton competed in the Regionals held at Wright Middle School this weekend. It was an unrated event. He scored 3 out of five games. - A nice score.

01-17-2009 Colton played in the 2009 Murray Scholastics this weekend. Colton wound up in a tie for 5th place scoring 2 wins with 2 loses. He picked up 6 rating points going to 759.

12-11-2008 Colton competed in the 2008 K-12 Championship in Florida. He tied for 89th out of 152 players. He scored 3 wins and 4 loses, dropping 41 rating points to 753.

12-6-2008 Colton played in the 2008 MEIGS Scholastic tournament, scoring a solid 3 out of 5. He tied for 14th out of 67. Not bad. He also gained 6 rating points, moving to 794. His chart shows a steady improvement. Congratulations, Colton!

11-11-2008 Colton competed in the 2008 Harding Scholastic this weekend. A nice result winning three and losing two. He lost only to the 1st place and 6th place finishers (rated far above himself). A solid result. He finished in a tie for 15th out of 70, gaining six rating points, moving him to his highest rating yet - 788. Good Job Colton!

10-25-2008 Colton played in the 29th MSU Open (Amateur Division), scoring 2 wins, 2 losses. Good enough to tie for first in the under 800 class AND a share of prize money.

9-20-2008 Colton played in the '2008 Wright Scholastic Tournament' winning two, losing three. Rating dropped 27 points.

6-23-2008 This weekend Colton played a tournament at the Memphis Chess Camp. He scored 3 out of 4 and picked up a whopping 111 rating points! Good job Colton!

4-5-2008 Colton played in the 2008 Tri-State Open, scoring 3 wins and two loses. That was good enough to tie for 5th place.. His rating rose a little to 688.

1-20-2008  Competed in the Pawn section of the 2008 NTWO. He tied for 5th with a score of 2 1/2 of 5. His rating went to 685.
