| In January 2000 the Clarksville Chess Club organized and hosted a regional tournament called the North Tennessee Regional Open. The tournament was a big success its first year and the participants loved the breakdown of the playing sections; the tournament had six sections with each section named after a Chess piece. Kings section for Experts and above; Queens for Class A, Rooks for class B, etc. |
