Welcome to ClarksvilleChessClub.org, the official website of the Clarksville Chess Club. Our chess club is open to the public. Membership is informal and free for  players of all ages and playing strengths from the surrounding Tennessee and Kentucky counties. We have hard-core tournament players and players just having fun. You will be sure to find just the type of opponent you are looking for, from absolute beginners to experienced master. There is no cost and visitors are always welcome. We hope you enjoy exploring our informative and instructive website. We invite you to join in on the Chess playing fun!

Chess lessons are over for at least a month. Just come and play!

The Chess Club is open to all, but children must be accompanied by parents.

GOOD NEWS: For the remainder of the year, the Clarksville Chess Club will meet in the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library on the 1st Saturday of each month. We have been given the glassed-in Meeting Room at the back of the Library from 1:00 to 5:00 pm.

BEST NEWS: John Montagrano has opened a deli in the shopping strip between the Kroger and Lowes on Wilma Rudolph Blvd. He has graciously allowed us to meet there every Thursday night. It is called the Freedom Deli and is two doors down from the China King Buffet next to Kroger. Look for the Big 'Clarksville Chess Club' poster in his window.
The meetings will begin at 6:30 P.M. every Thursday night, but come early and dine on a fine sub sandwich!  Thanks to John, we can go back to meeting on a weekly basis.
